The REI English Education Development program is currently active in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, China, Jordan and Djibouti, as well as a Medical English program in Laos. Activities include 1-on-1 teaching through specific relationships between local and American professionals, placement of REI staff on faculties of local institutions, consulting in the professional development of local teachers and language programs, and the occasional sponsorship of intensive English camps and resource centers.


REI medical work is currently being facilitated in Cuba, Vietnam, and Laos, in such medical specialties as Family Practice, ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat), Pediatrics and Pathology. It also includes Resident Health Care Training and Medical Fellowship Exchanges, in which doctors from various countries visit and observe doctors in the US.


Micro-enterprise development includes Business Training and Micro Credit programs in Kazakhstan, where REI is working with villagers on farming methods; and with locals in the capitol who are involved in a bakery and a seamstress business. In Djibouti, Africa REI is involved in a micro-credit enterprise with poor women in the region.


Agriculture - In Indonesia, REI has programs for Agriculture Training and Consulting, and Agriculture Economics.

Water Resource Management - REI is currently working on projects in the Persian Gulf area and in Uzbekistan.
